MARIETTA, - - GEORGIA.
Dr. C. E. W. Dobbs tendered his
resignation as pastor of the Marietta
Baptist church last Sunday, to take ef
fect January Ist, and a committee of
five was appointed to take the matter
under advisement and report next
Wednesday night at conference. Dr.
Dobbs has been pastor here nearly five
years, and it’s & source of regret that
he has seen fit to resign. He is a cul
tured, able and zealous minister, main
taining his calling with that dignity so
befitting the sacred office. His ser
mons are scholarly, scriptural and
strong, and the church that secures his
gervices will, indeed, be fortunate, if he
leaves Marietta. TheJoureal has noth
ing but good wishes for Dr. Dobbs.

AS GOOD AS NATURE GROWS
e ———————————————————————————
Spices since the early dawn of history
have been considered drugs, but with the
advanced( ?) methods of competition this
line gradually passed from the shelves of
the pharmacist into the hands of the gro
cer, unfortunately, in moany instances, at
the expense of quality. The new Pure
Food Law again places competition on an
even basis, and we take this means of ad
vising you that we are dealers in Spices of
the highest quality, in fact, ‘‘as good as
nature grows,’”’ in ten-cent cans.
