I sea that nearly every farmer
has his cotton nearly all picked
cat, and it 18 now going iuto the
hands of the gamblers, which is
bringing the price down, and they
are getting the money that the
farmer ought to have,
There are a great many of the
farmers in this section that have
dug their sweet potatoes and are
banking them for spring use.
, Some of the farmers are gather-
Jing corn and making preparations
- to sow wheat. Every farmer ought
to sow enough wheat to make
enough to do him, and plant corn
enough to do him, and then he
could hold his cotton until he
could get the worth of it; but un
til then, he will have to raise his
cotton and take whatever he can
get for It. and be left in debt after
it is all sold. Plenty cf corn in
the crib, plenty of wheat in the
box, plonty of meat in the smoke
house, brings prosperity to the
farmer whether he has any cotton
or not. Bruran.
