OWING to our position in the trade and the enormous size of our stocks, this is the most notable sale that can take place in Marietta, and an op
portunity such as may not occur again in a life time. Nor can there be any comparison between this and any other sale, because we have not
bought any goods for this sale, but every piece of goods is of our own selection, chosen for its beauty of design and coloring, value and individuality,
with the whole strength of our house and reputation behind it to guarantee it to be the best of its class. The reductions are real, and prices have not
been inflated to take care of the discounts, as is too frequently the'case is sales of usual character.
The following will give some idea of the values offered and the regular and reduced prices.

THE GRIPPE.
AAT AT
An ache in the back and a pain in the head—
That’s the grippe!
A choke in the throat and a yearning for bed—
That’s the grippe! ‘
A river of heat, then a shiver of cold,
A feeling of being three hundred years old,
A willingness even to do as you're told—
That’s the grippe!
An arrow of pain—now this place, now that—
That’s the grippe!
A feeling of doubt as to where you are at—
Thal’s the grippe!
A stupid sensation—of course, wholly new!
A stupid depression—why should you feel blue?
A doubt as to whether this really is you—
THat's the grippe!
Strange visions at night, that deprive you of rest—
That’s the grippe!
A taste in your mouth and a weight on your chest—
That’s the grippe!
A tired sensation that runs through your veins,
A queer combination of aches and of pains,
A rapid admlssion of absence of brains—
That’s the grippe!
