Church of the Good Shepard, of Au
gusta, Ga., preached by invitation at
St. James Episcopal church last Sun
day, and made a fine impression, He
has been called by the Church here,
and will give his answer next week. It
is hoped that he will accept. The Au
gusta Chronicle says: “Mr. Tyndell
came to Augusta from Gloucester,
Mass., about four months ago. and
during the short time he has been in
this city both he and Mrs. Tyndell have
endeared themselves to all with whom
they have come in contact, and should
they decide to leave Augusta, their de
parture will be generally deplored. Mr.
Tyndell is a scholarly and eloquent di
vine, besides being a most excellent
and lovable gentleman, and can but
make friends and admirers wherever he
may cast his lot,”

pictures. His picture, in Leslie’s, of
the ruins of the recent Atlanta fire is
