season be bad, our country next fall
and spring will be in an embarrassing
condition.

WATCH STOLEN.
ON Saturday, the 25th January, some per
son stole from the residence of Mrs
Matilda Northeult, about six miles from Fair
bur, a single case, cilinder escapement, gold
watch. The ring of said watch was considera
bly worn, and the minute hand was off. The
chaip was a small brass one.
Any one finding said .watch will be liberally
rewarded, by returning it to the owner.
