Disunion Meeting in Montgomery Alabama. The following dispatch is signed by Messrs. J. S. Seibles, E. A. Banks, L D. Ilullanquist, A. Elmore, and WnT. Garrett:' Montgomery, Oot. 31.—Tho Breckin ridge Minute Men of this city held a meeting lost night, at which they open ly avowed their preference for Lincoln’s election, in order that tho Union may bo dissolved. Mr. Marshall, one of tho seceding Alabama delegates from the Charleston Convention, made a speecli in which he declared himself boldly and openly ih favor of disunion.— Resolutions were passed declaring in favor of an immediate dissolution of the Union in the event of Lincoln’s election, lias Gone Strait Home. The following paragraph is dipt from the Montgomery Post of 30th ult. It will be remembered that we called attention to this same Cincinnat gent, somo two weeks since: An Abolitionist sent Home.—Some excitement prevailed in our city, on *last Saturday evening, on account of the discovery of a man from Cincinnati; named Strata, who declared himself to bean Abolitionist, A Committee con sisting of very reliable and highly re spectable gentlemen was appointed to investigate the matter—tjiey examined the man and his trilnk, nut finding nothing unlawful or incendiary, they simply advised him- to leave the city on the first train, which he ohaerlully consented to do—we think tho commit tee acted prudently and that the course pursued was satisfactory to every one. The Military Convention. The Milledgoville'Recorder says: “The Military Convention which assembled in this city on tho 28th of November, 1859, passed the following resolution: ^ Resolved, That when this Convention adjourn it adjourn to meet in Milledge- ville, on tho 2d Monday in November, 1860.
