No man in tho conn ty possessed the oonfidenoe and esteem of her people in a greater degree than tho de ceased. IIo was at all times courteous, nffa- hlo and accommodating. As a husband, fathor, son aud brother ho was a poilect model. As a citizen nnd nu official, he dis played an integrity unequalled. But moro lustrous than all, he shown as 1 Christian gentleman with a brilliancy un dimmed, and worthy of emulation.
