Mr. Shannon though a tow mouths ago the personification of vigorous, robust man hood, had been for some timo in declining health. Dr. J. M. Palmer, received the very sad intelligence on the 16th by telegram announ cing the death of the little son of Mr, and Mrs. Sbinholser, of Macon and the grand son of the former. Mrs. Ann Gray bill of Wrighlsvillo is visit ing her son, Dr. L. A. Uruybill, and othor relatives. Mrs. John Lindsey and daughter of Irwin- tou,* who have been visiting relatives in this community, returned home Monday. Two inner and two outer shirts, two pairs of drawers and. if possible, two pairs of iron.,ers or kniokrrbockers-or better still, a pair of each—with one jacket, will bo suffii lent.
