In the April 24tb, issue, being the

In the issue of June 9, 1S58, we find
a considerable agitation in Thomas-

We also notice that on the 10th
Inst., Mr. Sutton, Overseer , for Mr.
J. J. Mash, at Duncanville, heard a
cur dog barking near the negro quar

that Hie. canine had treed a panther.
Mr. Button, having no experience
panther shooting, got Dr. Robert Cope-

paws of the dead panther to the editor

We notice in the issue of June. 26,
that the cofort house at Troupvllle
burned on' the Wednesday before,
w'hile Judge Love was holding court.
Practically all the public records of
Lowndes County were destroyed.
Conrt was continued at the Academy
