For Strictures or Painful Erections—Take Ex

then let it remain a short time. The bougie should

DB. HELMBOLD •
Deab Sib—It is with much pleasure that i write
K ipoa facts respecting myself. I do not know
y how to express myself. I havo been for the
last ten or twelve years the greatest sufferer man
could be and live; but more some times than oth
ers. The complaint was tho “ Kidneys” and “Blad
der.” I have been sometimes from twelve to four
teen hours, and wanted to make water every min
ute, but could not. Have consulted doctors, both
in Massachusetts and this State, and taken pills, I
may say, by tho quart; also liquored medicines;
but found no relief from any, and got worse tho
last six months. I was so that I could scarely get
about. I could not rest night-or day. It would
soon havo been “ all up” with me if I had not seen
jour advertisement in tho Berkshire Courier, bead
ed “Kidneys.” I read It through and thought I
would try it. I purchased a bottlo, hut, mind you,
I had not much faith in it. Why should I, when I
had been trying eo many things and* cost me so
much? Well, I began taking it, and before I had
taken tho first bottle I felt bad; but I finished it,
and got another. By tho time i took half the sec
ond I still got worse (apparently.) When I walked
it seemed as if my right kidney was falling from its
place, and I felt really bad. I felt so, before I had
finished tho second, that I made up my mind it was
of no use trying any more—and all thi3 time the
“ Buchu” was doing its work, bnt I did not know
it, so I gave it up and went to Hartford on Satur
day to one of tho best doctors in the city. He said
it was in the nock of the bladder, and I should have
to undergo an operation. He gave mo medicine,
and I went home quite down-hearted. On Sunday
I was unable to go to church. I had not taken any
of his medicine, bnt on my retain continued using
the “ Baehu,” and in the afternoon had a desire to
make water, bnt could not. About one hour aftor
this I tried again with the same resnlt; but the next
time I took the vessel it was the samo as turning a
faucet and stopping it off again. It was i>o for three
times, and the third there was something came
through the passsge, and struck against the side of
the vessel. I examined it, and it is tho ugliest stone
or gravel you ever saw, covered over with little
pieces which had collected togother. It looks tho
color of a mnd-turt!e, and is as hard as flint. So
yon see tho " Bnchu” wa3 doing its work, although
I was feeling so badly. I procured another bottlo;
thinking there might be soma more behind; but
since that has passed, which is eight weeks ago last
Sunday, I have been a3 well as over I was in my
life. I havo tho stone securely wrapped, and those
who have seen it in this place are surprised. I can
not tell you all. but this is a true story of my case,
and you aro welcome to make such nso of my name
as yon may think proper. I am pretty well known
in Berkshire; also in Connecticut. Tho advertise
ment saved me. Why not publish more? The
Springfield Bepublican is a wide-spread paper. If
any one wishes to see this wonder, they can do so. I
could write all day, but think I have said enough
tins time; so I remain your ever well wisher,

A CASE OF TWENTY YEARS’ STANDING.
Philadelphia, Pa., Jane 25,1867.
H. T. HELMBOLD, Druggist:
Deab Sib . I have been a sufferer sor over twenty
years with gravel, bladder and kidnoy affections,
during which time I have used various medicinal
preparations, and been under tho treatment of the
most eminent plivsicians, experiencing bnt little re
lief.
Having seen your preparation extensively adver
tised, I consulted my family ph3ylcian in regard to
Hsingyour Extract Bnchn.
I did thiB because I had used all kinds of adver
tised remedies and had found them worthless, and
some quito injurious; in fact, I despaired of ever
getting well, and determined to use no remedies
hereaster unless I knew of the ingredients. It was
this that prompted me to use your remedy. As you
advertised that it was composed of bnchn, cubobs
and juniper berries, it occurred to me and my phy
sician as an excellent combination; and with his ad
vice, after an examination of the article, and con
sulting again with the druggist, I concluded to try
it. I commenced to use it about eight months ago,
at which time I was confined to my room.
From the first bottle I was astonished and grati
fied at the beneficial effect, and after using it three
weeks waB able to walk out. I felt much like writ
ing to yon a full statement of my case at tho time,
but thought my improvement might only be tempo
rary, and therefore concluded to defer, and see if it
would effect a perfect cure, knowing that it would
be of greater value to yon and more satisfactory to
me* •
I am now able to report that a cure is effected
after using the remedy for five months.
I have not nsed any now for three months, and
feel as well in all respects as I ever did.
Your Bnchn being devoid of any unpleasant taste
and odor, a nice tonio and invigorator of the sys
tem, I do not mean to be without it whenever occa
sion may require its nee on such occasions.

bladder and kidneys. I have suffered by spells
very much for a few days past. But yesterday re
lief came through the effect of your Buchu. Aston
passed from my bladder about tho size of a largo

from the pain that I have i offered with “co hard.”
I attribute my core to your medicine entirely, and
would recommend all persons similarly affected to
avail. Zt is now more than two weeks since she has
