Disastrous Fibs.—At about seven o'clock, night before last, a Roman candle was being fired off in the street, and one fire ball -passed into the store of Mr. A. Wannack, falling among a large lot of fire'works. Immediately they took fire and were throwing tho destroying ele ment in every direction throughout the build ing. The flames spread rapidly, and soon the entire building was in flames. The fire compa nies were on hand promptly, and though al most superhuman t fForte were made, the head-1 way of the fire ooutd not be ohecked until the two buildings adjoining, one occupied by Mrs. Michaolson as a dry goods store and the other by Daly & Bro. as a grocery establishment, had been destroyed.
