SUPERIOR COTTON C*NS.
fTHR subscriber would inform the planters of Georgia that he
1 hits removed his Cotton aiu Factory to Bibb county, 3 [ miles
li-otn Maeon, on the road leading from Macon to (Jordon, wlkre he
intends to manufacture Cotton Gins ofu quality stipe iorto an> he
ha* v. r before made, if possible. In the coiiMrm tioiiof hi* Gins,
he will particularly guard against the possibility of taking tire from
the Giii. And here he would remark, that it is imp< -*il>h- fora Gin
to tak fire from the boxes without the gross *-t negh ft on the pari t.t
those who have the management of them. Gins that get bimit, in
nine hundred and nine*} nine times out of# thousand take fire from
a different cause than the box, which the sub-nib. r will coinph tely
guard against in the Gins he makes in future. His Gina w ill be
made of the best materials, and warranted to perform a* well n* any
Gins made in the State. He ha* an excellent watt r-power to turn
ins machinery, and a good aw-inill right nt hand, which will en ible
him to sell Gins oil as good terms axanv otlu r factory in tin State.

estimation in which his Gins arc In Id ‘may be known from the fact
of nis having sold more than two thousand during the* la t three

evident eof the superiority of his Gin*, is accounted for by his being
the first to introduce the late improvements- und ket ping tin lead
by yearly adding flew ones. His first and second improvement* made
the quality of cotton perfect, though tome were rather slow. His
third made them sufficiently f st. It then only n mained to make
them more durable and convenient, which lias been done he believe*
effectually, by several new improvements the present year : leides,
he has the exclusive right for the State, with the privilege of other
flections, to furnish Reid’s Patent Water Boxes, which are believed
to be ten times more durable than any othtr, by those who have
madeafan- trial of them ; and are infallibly secure against fire by
friction. His fine Gins will gin Mastodon Cotton as well a* any saw
