Hie Headquarters will be In the U. 8. Barracks, on Ball street. CoL H. A. Burn urn, 149th New York Vote., is announced as Provost Marshal of the Western District. Hie Headquarters will bo near the corner of Barnard and Qooth Broad streets. All applications for protection of persons and private property, or lor redress ot grievances, will be made to the Provoet Marshal of the Dis trict, or to the nearest officer of the guard. XL Each Regiment on Provost duty will be held responsible for the peace and good or der ol its section. The Provoet Marshals of Districts will number the sections assigned to these regiments. III. All public and private property will be protected; aad whenever necessary for each purpose, special guards will be assigned. No private properly will bo taken or used against tbe consent ef ihe owners, except upon an order from proper authority. IV. Officers and others, entitled to quarters lor private or putffic use, will make applica tion to Brig. Gen. Easton, Chief Quartermaster. V.
