Allow me to call yonr attention to my l*reparti tion of Compound Extract Bucliu.— The component parts are Bucliu, Long Leaf, Cu- bebs, Juniper Berries. MODES OF PREPARATION.—Buchu, in vacuo. Juniper Berries, by distillation, to form a fine gin. Cu- bebs extracted by displacement by liquor obtained from Juniper Berries, containing very little sugar, a small proport on of spirit, and more palatable than any now in use. The active properties are by this mode ex tracted. ftathu, as prepared by Druggists generally, is of a dark color. It is a plant that emits its fragrance; the action of a flame destroys this {its active principle}, leaving a dark and glntinons decoction. Mine is the color of ingredients. 'TUe Uucha in my preparation predominates, the smallest quantity of the other ingre dients are added, to prevent fermentation; upon in- spection it will be found not to be a Tincture, as made Tu Pharmacopoea, nor is it a Syrup—and therefore can be used in cases where fever or inflammation exists.— In this you have the knowledge of the ingredients and the mode of preparation, Hoping that yon will favor it with a trial, and that upon inspection it will meet with yonr approbation.
