" ""AIR TRAFFIC has become such a problem now that
airplanes not only crash with each other but with land
craft as well. Here’s the first known crash between an
airplane and a railway locomotive, which occurred 16
miles north of Charlotte. N. C. when John Lohr’s biplane
went dead in mid-air and went into a tail spin. landing
a few feet in front of a passenger train. The plane was
cut in two and pilot and passenger were critically in
