W. underwent his examination, who, on their re turn, laid Waters mate and crew infuked them by cc damning his majc fly’s Ihip and all hands on board.” I then left the Brutus and went along fide capt. W. who then came on deck and told me that the fhip fired at him in a calm which was the reafon of his refuting them provifions. That he and the Britifh captain parted as gentlemen j but when he was about to make fail, was again boarded by a baige con taining the captain and a number of lailors, who, with the captain, fa id they had come to get re drefs, for the (fuppofed) infuk which had been offered to his majefty.
