Dr. Euftis, from the com nuttee appointed on the fubjed of the fortifications of the liar bots of the United States, re ported, that there were 153,000 of farmer appropriations unexpended. It was the opinion of the fecretarv at war that 63,000 dollars would be fuffiri ent for the expenditure of the prefent vear. It was therefore the opinion of the committee that no amendment*- are necef fary in the on that fubjed. Ihe houfe agreed t<> r! 'e report.
