fifty to sixty Members of the Legislature, besides all
transient persons who may favor him with their compa-
ny. ...
He hopes from his long experience in business, and the
assistance of Mr. and Mrs. Mxngham, that he will be
able to keep a House not to be surpassed by any in the
the Southern Coun'ry. Mrs. Mancham has been living
in my family and Mrs. Huson’s for seven or eight years,
which gives her a full knowledge of-house keeping.

important law cases. He expects to enlarge his Collec
tion; and so soon as the subscription will authorize, to
publish them in a plain, cheap style, in pamphlet form.
The object of this undertaking is to awaken among
the people a sense of the importance of a
Court for the Correction of Errors.
The Judges, Solicitors, and Members of the Bar,
throughout the State, are respectfully requested to fur
nish authentic reports. To those who may do so, a rea
sonable allowance in the price of the work will be made.
Utility alone, and not profit, is the object of the under
taking. And with this view he solicits warmly the co
operation of the Bar and Bench. His situation as an

W HEREAS it hath been duly shewn to me that
JOHN BEJV1BRY, late of die county of Leon,
in this Territory, stands indicted, in the Superior Court
of said county, for an assault and battery on one LIT
TLETON BRYAN, with intent to kill said Bryan; and
with stabbing said Bryan with a Jkpife, and whereas,
since the finding of said indictment, said Bryan hath died,
as supposed of his wounds—And whereas, said Bembry
’ hath dedfrom this Territory, and is now a fugitive from
justice, and it appears to my satisfaction that the offence
is one that deserves the vigilant and rigid enforcement of
ihe laws: Now, by virtue of the authority in me vested
by law, I hereby offer a reward of TWO HUNDRED
D( >LLARS for the apprehension and delivery of said
Bembry to the sheriff oi Leon county, or his jailor; and
all sheriffs, constables, and other peace officers, in this
Territory, are hereby required to be vigilant in the ap
prehension and safe keeping of said Bembry.

en to any person who will apprehend my negro boy,
by name of YORK, and deliver him either to Dr. Charles
Bailey, Jackson, Butts county; Henson N. Jackson,
Greenville, Meriwether county; Benjamin Peoples, near
Madison, Morgan county; or ledge lum in jail, so that I
can get him. This boy is of a dark complexion, has lost
one of his fore teeth, stout built, about five feet eight inch
es high. He had on when he left me, an old white fur
hat, dark green frock coat, striped pantaloons and a new
air of shoes with brass heels. Said boy left me about
ve miles on the road from Forsvfh to Knoxville, on the
