A Provident Coople.—A person writing Atom Ban Francisco to the Newport News gives tho following Incident: Two common-looking persons cutercd the hotel this morning, just from the mines—a man and wife. The male Individual looked Ibr all the world like a day-laborer, and the Aimalo bona close resemblance to an Irish scullion. She wore coarse, vulgar brogans, and to her glrdlo was attached a gold watch and chain, valued at least at two hundred dollars. The husband left tho hotel Air half an hour, and returned with a receipt for one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars, tho val ue or the dust which he had just consigned for transportation to Now York.
