VALUABLE IMPRIiVIiiIfNNTI
A complete and substantial substitute for
BLOCK TUNG, HOUNDS, SWAY-BARS,
SAND-BOAKl) KING BOLT.
I>. W. SEELEY’S
FATHTST GOXTP&irtfGS!
For the fore AXLES and BOLS TERS, ol Spring
Blocks, of four wheeled Vehicles of all descriptions,
are justly classed in the fist of the most valuable
improvements o the age ; both for their perfect
utility, economy aud durabiliy.
For Farming or r Jearning purposes, or light
Carriages
They are vastlj superior to any other mode of cou
pling now known or used. Though thousand* of
unimpeachable witnesses could be produced to tes
tify to these tacts. yet the Patentee would only ask
for an examination of his Apparatus.
The coupling is affected by the use of tw.. metalie
circular plates, bolted, cue to the bolster and perch,
and the other to the axle, which are connected to
gether by a peculiarly shaped bolt, in such a manner
that the lore axle cannot be separated from the body
of the carriage without first removing one ol the
fore wheels, and turning the axle in a position at
right angles with its working position: wh eh. it
will he seen, brings one arm of the axle directly uri
der the perch. For further paiticulars read Testi
monials.
Notice of the Press.
Valuble Invention—lmportant to Waggon-
Makers—Mr. David VV. Seely, ol Cailide. Srinma
rie County, New York, has recency secured a patent
for one of the most valuable impr< , . the
age. It is for connecting the fore axle to the 01.-: r
or bodyof a waggon,in a firtn and substantial manner
and dispensing with the use of the old fashioned
hounds, block-turn:, sand-board, and sway liars,
avoiding the necessity ot boring the bolster and ax c
for the kim.-bolt ; making at least five dollars less
■expense for ironing the vehicle to which it is applied
and the same saving in the expense of the wood
work.—N. Y. Farmer & Mechanic.
This improvementhas taken premiums at
seven State Fair--. inc'uding the Annv ican Institute.
