PROPER SUNDAY LAWS
BOTHERING ATLANTA
Music Allowed by Bands,
Why not Allow Motion Pic
tures, They Ask.
Atlanta, Da., July 27.—If open
air Sunday concerts In Grant Park,
with programs made up of selections
from Grand Opera, popular waltses,
musical comedy and what-not, are
perfectly proper, then why would
open air motion pictures, on respec
table subjects be equally proper on
Sunday In tbe same parkT
That Is Ithe question! 'the city
fathers are about to face, and to
many people It seems strange that
most of the ministers of the city,
while never objecting to the music,
do strenously object to the pictures.
Some time ago the question of
motion pictures In the park on Sun
day was agitated and then dropped
because of the chnrch sentiment
against It. It Is now revived be
cause Of the fact that the city has
begun to have motion pictures there
free Thursday nights, any many
people would like to have them Sun
days too.

Oklahoma City, Okla., July 27.—
Spending hts few remaining hours

Prather, a young negro, Is awaiting
the call to the gallows tomorrow
morning.
The near approach of the day of
execution and the knowledge that
there Is little or no probability of a
respite have caused no noticeable
change of the condemned man.
Prather atfd four other young
negroes were convicted of the mur

April. Prather has never denied
firing the fatal shot, saying he com
mitted the murder after he and his
companions had robbed Archie so he
could be “able to say he had mur
dered a white man."
The execution of the other four
negroes has been delayed by the
appeal of their cases to the high

is a Macey Book Cabinet
To set one of the new Macey Book Cabinets In your borne
la to set before your children am example of such good taste
that throughout all the day* of their lives they will feel its
refining influence.
Macey Book Cabinets are the first sectional bookcases ever
built-after the designs of the old masters. These old masters.
Sheraton, Chippendale, Robert Adam and Fra Junipero, were
as graat in Furniture as Shakespeare in Literature, as Mozart in
Music, as Michael Angelo in Painting.
The new Macey Book Cabinets are the only sectional book*
cases that can be added to, both upward ami sideways, and
still not look like sectional bookcases, but like heirlooms of
furniture. Can be taken from or rearrangedwithout destroying
their beauty and styls.
So artful is the cabinet work that dealers frequently havo to
take them apart to convince customers that they are sectional.
Macey old master designs harmonize with any furniture you
now have, and are made in such variety of popular prices,
sizes, woods and finishes, that they fit any requirement of space
or purse. ' N
Macey Sectional Book Cabinets are built under tbe ditoedoa
of Mr. O. H. L. Wernicke, the father of sectional bookcases and
President of The Macey Company. Mr. Wernicke’s name ie
still used in the corporate title of a competing firm, with which .
he has long since had no connection.
If you wish to give your home and your children the most
inspiring influence you evei gave them, you will gotoafumituro
storeand ace these new Matey Book Cabinets before youforget it.
