A OR transportation to and from Macon, is now in
complete order. A superior now Steam Boat
called ‘‘David Crockett” with two powerful Engines,
and several .irst rate freight boats have been built since
the dose of the last season and plaecd on the line.

will ply regulaily between Darien and Macon, one of
them leaving Dariett about once a week with freight
boats in tow.

and afford the greatest despatch to Cotton.
The subscriber's whole attention is devoted to facili
tating transportation between Macon aud tho Sea
Ports. He has invested a large sum to put his line in
the most complete order, and believes that his arrange
ments for giving despatch to freight and keeping it in
good order, while in ins care, will make it the interest
of Cotton Shippers and .Merchants ordering goods, to
continue their favors.
At Darien he has secure and convenient Warehouses
for reception of Goods, and his
Wharves there are covered

which enables him to keep all Cotton skipped oil hi.-
Boats under shelter and protected from the weather,

cel and their tow boats now in use,
The Company have now building a new Steanboat,
with ten new tow boats, all of the best materials and
expressly adapted to the navigation of the Ocmulgee
and Altaniaha rivers. These increased facilities will
afford the Company the means of giving despatch to
goods intended for the interior, and will furnish in
ducements for merchants west of the Ocmulgee river
to ship their goods by the way of Darien and Macon.
