Some of my family have had dealings with your re
liable house before. Havo always found pleasure in
recommending you, and noting through our Sunny South
your steady, prosperous advancement. Long may the
Southern ISlusic House live.
Mrs. A. A. Kirkland,
Bourland’s Store, Ark.
Owing to some irregularity in the mails, your letter
was so long reaching me that I concluded that the refer
ences sent you were not satisfactory, and bought a piano
from Richmond, Va. Have to repent of my hasty
action since I learn from your letter that I could have
gotten the same stylo of piano from you cheaper and on
easier terms. * * * Betti e Clark,

Such an establishment as Ludden & Bates Southern
Music Houso needs no advocate. It is a monument to
thrift and enterprise, a credit and advantage to the city
in which it is established, and to the entire South. The
firm requires no word of praise—“ By their works shall
yo know them,” and they can be judged accordingly. “By
their works” we know Messrs. Ludden & Bates to be
clear headed, progressive business men, and good citizens
would be glad to see more such houses, not only in Savan
nah, but throughout the State. “Constitution,”

“I feel certain that if any one desires to purchase an
instrument they can do no better than to buy from you
and LEAVE YOU TO SELECT IT FOR THEM.”

To Ora Patrol*
This issue of the News— -devoted to the trade interests
of Savannah—gives us a fit opportunity to express our
thanks to our customers all over the South for their con
tinued liberal support. We are pleased to say that our
business of the past year has shown as large a percentage
of increase as any since we entered the music trade, now
nearly twenty years ago; and we fully believe that this
gratifying success is in a great measure due to the fact
that we have made a satisfied friend of nearly every per
son who has ever dealt with us.
We do not pretend to be more genial or more lovable
than others, nor do we monoplize all the brains of the
trade—but we are the only dealers in this country living
up to the One Price System. Imagine the feelings of
the unsophisticated lady who has just bought a high
priced piano, when she finds that her shrewd business
friend has just paid the same dealer about SIOO less for an
instrument of identical make and style! Will she ever
advise a friend to buy of the house who sol and her? Hardly!
We hope to continue in this business for the next 100
years, and we promise to try to deserve the good opinion
of every one who deals with us during that time. Again
expressing our thanks, we are,
Respectfully,
e Ludden & Bates Southern Music House.

Your esteemed favor of the 24th inst., enclosing one*
of your Price Lists is at hand. After carefully compar
ing same with our lists, we find that your prices are
even lower than ours, and we would furthor
state that we never in any case furnish a customer with
either a Stool, Cover, Spread or Instruction Book of any
kind. We simply sell the piano as it is, and nothing
with it. * * * *
