Cotton—The market was dull and easy.
Tbere was a slow demand, and buyer* and
sellers were somewhat apart. The total
*ales for the day were only 687
hales. On ’Change at the opening call,
at 10 a. m., the luarset was reported quiet
and unc Tanged, with sales of 109 bales. At the
§econd call, at 1 p. m., it was quiet, the
>ales being 67 baits. At the third and last call,
at 4 p. W-, it closed quiet and unchanged, with
further sales of 511 bales. The following are
the official closing spot quotations of the Cot
ton Exchange:

pentine was quiet and steady at unchanged
prices. There were no sales reported during te

very quiet and unchanged. There was a light
