Dr. Ferguson, Macon's city physician, au
outline of which he has explained to the Tele
graph. Dr. Ferguson holes, with other
physicians throughout the country, thut
blood is the greatest nutritive, aud thinks it
should be preserved in all meats oaten by
consumptives or allowed as nourishment in
all wasting diseases. To this end he has ar
ranged with a Macon butcher to supply his
patients in such ossea with beef w hich has
been killed without bleeding, ana will try
his new experiment in a few days. He has
fouDd that birds and chickens which have
been shot and thereby lost but little blood,

by other modes, and thinks the beef he has
arranged for will prove a valuuble nutritive
food in tbe cases mentioned.

inform his patient that his sentence was
suspended as socn as he was able to bo sent
back home.
