Carrollton, Ga., April I.—Carrollton
has a few “young bloods” who are about

for their suppers. So recently they gave a
negro 30 cents aud he brought in a big fat
goose. The supper was enjoyed and the
whole crowd got “full” on beer. But this
will not be the last of the supper. The
owner of the goose is mad and means t<>

his goose. The boys are scared.

WHY PEOPLE WILL PAY RENT.
When they can buy homes such as the Title
Guarantee and Loan Company built on Whit
aker and Barnard streets, and
ON SUCH EASY' TERMS!
There is only one on Whitaker street unsold,
and that is the one nearest in to Anderson
street. This house, with lot 30x125, I can sell
on a small cash payment or
WILL EXCHANGE FOR OTHER PROPERTY
Or for Loan Association stock, or for the stock
of the Title Guarantee and Loan Company or
other good corporation, or
WILL TAKE SAME IN PART PAYMENT.
I want to sell the house and make my com
mission, so stop paying rent and own your
home.

_ SHOES.
To-Day is Easter Sunday the
Queen of Christian festivals,
which signalizes the end of Lent
For centuries the date of its
observance was a disputed point
in the Christian Church, but now
it is observed on the Sunday
which follows that 14th day of
the calendar moon which falls
upon or next after the 21st day
of March. Pleasure resumes its
sway after Lent, and Spring
styles appear.
They especially appear in
our show windows, where may
be seen our latest styles in low
shoes for ladies, although our
pride and the shoe we sell most
of is our famous Dongola Hand
sewed Patent Leather Tip Ox
ford at $2 50. Try a pair.
