Tobacco Factors in Atlanta.—Mr. S. H.
Holland, of Virginia, has bought a lot in Atlanta,
-.poa which he will build a tobacco factory and
jve employment to three hundred hands. Mr.
Holland is looking into the future, and wo think
like a wise man. The northern half of Georgiy
i. destined to be the greatest tobacco producing
Action in the Union. Its soil is admirably
.dapted to the plant, and the seasons for ma
rring far preferable to those of Virginia, Ken-
tacky and North Carolina. The white labor of
iierokee will soon be directed to tobacco, and
.a due time it will become one of our leading
articles of export.

• * * * * We grouped about for many hours in
it's wonderful place. I never saw anything liko it.
Ibe freaks ot nature displayed here are very strange,
usd strike the beholder with awe. Bat the air in some
I arts of the cave is close and stifling, and when wo
cum a out, I found myself saddled with a terrible fe-
ver, which entirely prostrated me. The physician had
never seen a case like it before, and no remedy he pre
scribed seemed to do the least good. My life was de
spaired of. Mrs. Wilson, with whom I was residing,
had in the house a bottle of Pi.axtition Bitters,
and she insisted I should try it. for she said she knew
it to be a certain cure in all cases of fever, debility,
ague, dyspepsia, etc. I had but little faith, but final
ly consented to try it as a last resort. In less than
threo hours after the first dose my fever left me; in
two days I was sitting up. and before Saturday night
I was as well as ever. I tell yon all this that you may
know how to act in any ease of fever, or any similar
disease. I firmly believe the Plantation Bitters
s^ved my life. * * * * *
In my next I will tell you about the cavo in detail.

Ayer’s Cathartic Pills,
Jfor all tbe purpose-* of a Laxative Hed-
iciae.
Perhaps no one medi
cine is so universally re
quired by everybody a»
a cathartic, nor vya® ever
any before so-universal
ly adopted into use, in
every country and among.
all classes, as this milu
but efficient jmrgative-
I’lfl. Tho obvious ren-
FOii is, that it is a more re
liable and far more effec
tual remedy than any
other. Those who Hive
tried it, know that it cared them; those who have
not, know that it, euros their neighbors and friends,
and all know that what it does once it does always
—that it never fails through any firnlt or neglect of
its composition. We have, and can show, thou
sands upon thousands of certificates of remarka
ble cures of the following complaints, but' such-
cures are known in every neighborhood, and why
should we publish them? Adapted to all ages and
conditions In all climates: containing neither calo
mel or any deleterious drug, they may be taken
with safety by anybody. Their sugar coating pre
serves them ever fresh and makes them pleasant to
take, while being purely vegetable no harm can
arise from their use in any quantity. • .
They operate bv tlieir powerftil influcnro on the
internal viscera to purify the blood and stimulate it
into healthy action—remove the obstructions of tbe
stomach, bowels, liver, and other organs of the
body, restoring their irregular action to health, ami'
by correcting, wherever they exist, such derange
ments as are the first origin of disease.
Minute directions are given in the wrapper on
the box, for the following complaints, which these
Pills rapidly cure:—
For X>y*pepais* or Imligrvtion, Untie—
wen*. Languor and Lo«» of Appetite, they
nonlil be taken moderately to stimulate the stom-
~ch and restore its healthy tone and action.
For JCIvjer Complaint and its various symp
tom?, ntlioa* Headaclie. Kick Ilrmliiclir.
> Jaundice or Green Sickaen, Uilioxs
Colic and miioun f'crt-ni, they should be jn-
('•ciously taken for each base, to correct the diseased
iK'liun or remove the ol.-tnii-tiims which cause it.
For Dyventery or Xkiurrboeu, hut one mild
dose is generally required.
For XSbcuiiiutiHm. Clout, Gravel. Palpi
tation of the Heart, 1-aln iu tbe didr.
Back and Loin;, they should be eontimioiisly
tafcen, as required, to change tiie diseased action of
the system. With such change those compliant*-
disappear.
For Dropsy and Dropvical dvrelliapi they
should be taken in large and frequent doses to ptt»-
duce the effect of a drastic purge.
For Itupprtouiion a large (lose should be taken
as it produces the desired effect by sympathy. •
As a Dinner Pill, take one or two Pills to pro-
■I.Jta digestion and relieve the stomach.
An occasional dose stimulates the stomach a—
bowels Into healthy action, restores the appetite,
and invigorates the system. Hence it Is often ad
vantageous where no serious derangement exists.
One who feels tolerably well, often finds that a (lose
of these Pills makes hint feel decidedly better, from
their cleansing and renovating effect on the diges
tive apparatus. There are numerous cases where
a purgative is required, which we aannot enumer
ate here, but they suggest themselves to everybody,
and whore toe virtues of this DIM are known, tne
public no longer doubt what to employ.
Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral,
For DiieiMe* of Star- Throat aad Lnt*;
- such M Cough*, Cold*, Whooping
Cough, Bronchitis, Aulhua,
and Consumption*
Probably never before in the whole history at
medicine, has anything won so widely and so deeptv
upon the confidence of mankind, as this excellent,
remed v for pulmonary complaints. Through a long
series'of years, and among most of the races or
men it has risen higher and higher in their attinra-
tion, an it lias become bettor known. Its uniform •
character and power to cure the varions afifeettons
ofthe lungs and throat, have made it known as a re
liable protector against them. While adapted to
milder forms of disease and to young children, it is
at tbe Same time the most effectual remedy that non ■
be given for incipient consumption, and the dan
gerous affections of the throat and lungs. Asa pro
vision against sudden attacks of Croup, it shouMrO
be kept on hand in every family, and indeed as alt .4
are sometimes subject to colds and coughs, am
should be provided with this antidote for them.
Although settled Consumption is flionrfit in
curable, still great numbers or cases where the dis
ease seemed settled, have been completely cured,
nnd the patient restored to sound health by the-
Cherry Pectoral. So complete is its mastery
over the disorders of the Lungs and Throat, that
the most obstinate of them yield to it. When noth
ing else could reach them, under the Cherry Pas
toral they subside and disappear.
Singers and Public Speakers find great pro- •
tectiou from it.
Asthma is always relieved and often wholly
cured by it.
Bronchitis Is generally- cured by taking the
Cherry Pectoral m small and frequent doses.
So generally are its virtues known that it. is un
necessary t° publish the certificates of them here,
or do more than assnro tbe public that its qnahties
are frilly maintained.
