MRS. NAT KAISER DIES
SUDDENLY IN NEW YORK 1
Mrs. Nat Kiser, wife of Nat Kaiser, of
this city, died suddenly in New York
Monday morning.
She left the city some days ago in the
beet of health, and was in New York on
a viatL Her husband was telegraphed
for In time to be at his ■wife's bedside
when the end came.
Mrs. Kaiser and her husband moved to I
Atlanta about IS yearn ago and have lived
here ever since. For many years she
actively assisted him in the conduct of
his business affairs and his success tn the
jewelry business was due largely to het*
ability.
Mrs. Kaiser went to New York to attend
a wedding. She suffered an attack of
acute Indigestion which later developed
into paralysis.
Funeral arrangements will not be made
until the arrival of the body in this city.
Hotel Given Decision
WASHINGTON. Feb. 21.—The Toxaway
Hotel company, of North Carolina, is a
corporation merely for conducting hotels
and so not subject to the national bank
n ptcy act*, held the supreme court of
the United States today in deciding a
case from the United States circuit court
of appeals for the fourth circuit.
The district court for the western dis
trict of North Carolina adjudged the
company a bankrupt on the ground that

RAILROADS MUST PAY

tionality of the statute of South Carolina
as construed by the state courts requir
ing railroads doing a local business to

Wintry in Kansas
KANSAS CITY, Feb. a.—With low
temperature still prevailing and local
snowstorms reported from many places,
real winter conditions were forecasted by
