Not. 21.—Grade revision commit tee made only a few changes, strict low middling tinge was widened 5 points to 80 off end middling time was widened ten points, to 200 off. All other differences remained un changed. The differences on low grades with low middling at 80 off ate much greater than those now prevailing in the south and the natural consequence should be that futures should work above ottrs. Liverpool lost abont ten points in parity yesterday which was partly recovered today: futures in that market being six higher at our opening. Spots were five higher; a cable said the market was stimulated by the favorable turn in Balkan politics and less offerings from the eouth. The Census report gives 10,291.431 ginned to November 14, against 11.313.236 last year, and 8.789.433 tn 1910. The Census was rather larger than expected, but the trade was prepared for it and It had consequently no effect. NEW YORK, Nov. 21.—The November meet ing of the New York cotton exchange committee on the revision of spot eotton differences was held after the close of businee* Wednesday. Tire only changes made in the differences between grades as app'lea to deliveries on New York contracts was a slight Increase in the penalties on two of the low grades, strict low middling, tinged being penalised at 85 points instead of 80, and low middling tinged at 200 points In stead of 190. There will be a meeting of the revision com mittee in February under tire provisions of the amended by-laws, and the differences fixed to night will remain in force until that meeting. COTTON MARKET OPINIONS Morris 11. Rothschild A Co.: An optimistic THE ATLANTA SEMI-WEEKLY JOURNAL, ATLANTA, GA., FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1912. Judges at the Southern Hnteirnattonall IBr classes. He will judge the Black Minorcas and Silver Campines, also all entries in the French and Polish classes, and Ornamentals. There promises at present to be an unusual large entry in these rare and beautiful varieties of fowls at this show and they will attract much attention and be very much admired by many who have never seen birds on exhibition. Mr. Cornman is also a poultry lecturer of note and will make several lectures during the exhibition. He, as well aa other lecturers will give the poultry fraternity an opportunity to become posted on matters and sub jects that will be of much value to them in the keeping of poultry. Prof. Roy Jones, of Athens, Ga», will be in charge of the commercial ex hibit of poultry and eggs and he also will give instructions every day ana at all times during the show in his department. This display at the Geor gia State fair attracted widespread attention and he entertained a large crowd every day during the fair. To the farmer, and to the buyer and shipper of eggs they can gain much information through this department, and information that they have never had an opportunity to secure before. We are very fortunate in securing this exhibition, because if there is any one thing *that the south is behind the times in and need enlightenment on it is the poultr* Industry. The present scarcity and high price of eggs should convince every one of this fact and the people of the country should not hesitate to take advantage of every opportunity they have offered to learn something that will increase this product in this section of the country. Spratt’s Patent will coop and feed the birds at this great show, which means within itself that the birds will not ohly be properly cared for, but will be cooped in the most attractive and satisfactory manner. Their work all over the United States is a reputation alone for any show that secures many entries and no breeder hesitates in the least to send their birds to any show -where Spratt’s Patent handle the exhibits for the association. The arrangement of the breeding pens in Taft hall last year, gotten up by Spratt’s Patent was certainly a great attraction and was much admired by every one. This feature was a little different from the ordinary way of cooping the breeding pens and will be used again this year, as it shows the breeding pens off to the very best advantage and coops them all together where they can be compared, side by side, not only by the novice, but by the experts and the judges can easily see the best birds side by side, and do their work more satisfactory than if they were scattered in different parts of the building. I feed oats at midday and corn at night. Giving nothing when they are let out in the morning, arguing that they will range more Industriously during the cooler hours than during the heat of midday. Is this a prop er plan or should they be fed the small grains In the morning and made to get their ranging during the day. They have the range of two four-acre elds. I notice very often at night .that they are not very hun gry. Is this due to the midday feeding. They have shell, charcoal, meat scraps and fresh water before them continually. Cornish Indian Games seem to be naturally adapted to our south ern conditions ano as a farm fowl have but few their equal, both col ored and white ones. The White ones have become very popular during the last few years, and a large string of these birds will be seen at this show. Mr. Cornman will also judge the Ornamental and Fancy Bantams, which he has but few superiors when it comes to handling these ing to roost.
