«lr. JohnO. Jenckes, an ingenious ahd
respectabm mechanick of this town, who Will ex*
hibit to you, for inspection, (and should you think
proper,) approbation, a model of a machine, whi.'h
he invented during his confinement last autumn,
from 8" uncommonly, bad fracture of both bones
of one of his legs. You will find, upon examina
tion, the machine tube very simple in ita struc
ture, easy in in its motions,' and bappilv construe
ted to promote the convenience and add to the
comfort of those, who, froth almost any disease,
are confined tc a sicic bed. It was at first intend
ed for the comfort only of the inventor, hut since
his recovery,lie has so much improved it, that ho
is anxious to extend its advantages to others, wbo

Be it enacted by the Senate and Home of Re-
presentativea’of the State of Georgia, in .General
Assembly met, and it U, hereby enacted by the
authority of the satpe, That where any person or
persons have heretofore had surveys made on
head rights, boiltity warrants and grants thereon
have not been, obtained, it shall and may be law
ful for suciy person o{ persons to apply for and,
obtain sdeh grant or grains, at any time previous
to the 25th of October, eighteen hundred and
twenty four, on payment of t he usual ft es.
Sto. 2 And be it frtrtficr anacted by the author,
