Anti Dyspeptic Pills.
PREPARED BY II JAMES, NEW-YORK.
F OR 20 years past the subscriber lias suffered
continually from a costive habit, which has
been a great part ofthe ime accompanied by
severe'hcadach. He has made known his com
plaint to several eminent physicians, without ex
pewencing any benefit frotn their prescriptions.
In the month of December last, becoming seri
ously alarmed, by the regular but constant in '
crease of the, disorder, he was induced to com.
mence the use of the above named pills, which,
were liighly recomnu oded as a refnedy in his
complaint.—He began to take them with very
little confidence as to their efficacy, and tinder
the expectation that he should not be able to
g ive them a fair trial, as Iris Stomach,' heretofore,
ad rejected every kind of medicine. Another
circumstance which taught him to expect very
little benefit, was that he had found it necessary
always to'lake more than an ordinary dose of
any cathartic, before it would produce the desir
ed effect. He, however, commenced taking Wo
ofthe pills, as directed, every evening for l wen-
ty days, without experiencing any considerable
inconvenience, or perceiving any benefit from
them. He was then directed to increase the
number, until some degree of nausea was pro
duced; the dose was accordingly increased un
til he took six pills every evening; they soon
began to act as a gentle and perfect laxative t
tlie dose was diminished in the same gradual
manner in Which it had been increased, and it is
now forty days since a very obstinate mid dis
tressing complaint has yielded to this mild plan
of treatment,
The subscriber does therefore, unsolicited,
most cheerfully recommend the anli-dispeptic
pills to those who may have suffered like him
self; and he avails himself of this method to as
sure them, that from no other treatment has he
experienced such perfect relief.
“ NAHthM RICE.
Front the above certificate no doubts can ex
ist in the minds ofthe afflicted, as to the utility
and value of this remedy. Many persons in this
city audits vicinity have been relieved'from dis
tressing dyspeptic Symptoms by its use. It is
not recommended as a cure, a'll but to those di
seases appertaining to dyspeptic only.
