king out grants on surveys made on head rights
and bounty Warrants. , ,
Be it enaotod by the Senate and House of Re
presentatives ofitlio ,'tate of Georgia, in General
Assembly met, nnd it is hereby enacted by the
authority of the same, That where auy person or
persons liavo heretofore had surveys mnde on
head rights thereon have not beep obtained, U
slndl and may he lawful for such person or per
sons to apply for und uhuin such grant or gfuuts,
at any time previous to the 25th of October,
1824, on payment of the usual tees.
Sec 2 And be it further 'enacted by the author-
ily aforesaid, Tnut wliere'nny-surveys have liere-
lofore been'made on Ik-r-J rights or bounty War*
rents, and grants thereon have’not been obtained,
sucli land sliull not he subject to a resuh'ey un
til three months from and after, the person or
persons claiming under the original survey sltnil
liavo been noli tied Hint such re-survey is intend
ed to be made, and Hint in all cases, the persons
claiming under the original survey,.shall be en
titled to the preference of making such re-sur
vey, until the expiration of ,three months from
the time of such notification: and in the event of
there being-no claimant residing ou or near the
land to be thus resurveyed, such notice shaji be
perfected by giving three months uotico by pub
lic advertisement, at the Cijurt House of the
county where ruch laud tnav [if?, and in oue of
the public Gazettes of this Slated
Sec 3 And be it further enacted, That it shall
he the duty of nil surveyors who shall make any
such rc-survey, to certify on hiireturn to the sur
