Cat, which vessel has been so lonjjrtiissing,
lmd been pickctl up on Capo Florida by
an Indian.—There is too much reason,
therefore, to conclude) that she been lost
and that her officers and crew had perish
ed.
The P. II. has been remarkably suc
cessful in her present cruize, having left
Cumana on the 10th of June, since which
she captured more than forty sail of ves
10 dollars a thousand, nnd the latter for

Loss of the sloop Eliza.
The sloop Eliza, (formerly a Sullivan’s
Islund packet, boat Canuet, from this
port, bound to St. Johns, East Florida,
was lpstin the gale of the 14th September
hist. A letter received yesterday from

her fate. It is dated,
