To fix permanently the salaries ami ft os

Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and,
Aldermen of the city of Snvannlth, und
Hamlets thereof in Council assembled,
that from and after the first regular meet**
ing of Council in Januury next, there .shall
be paid to the city Treasurer flic sum of
six hundred dollars nnd fees of-office, per
annum, for his services—that he shall re
ceive no commissions bn public tnonica
which may pass through his hands, Inlt
tlmt he shall receive two hundred ntul fifty
dollars for the completion of tin* city Di

from twenty five to twenty eight pounds,
at the time of receiving the same, and the
further sum of twelve and Uni' half bent* „
for each keg of powder twenty five tb twen-
ty eight-pounds, at the time of delivering
the same, to the owner and a like sum in
proportion to the Woight thereof, arid that
ho shall not be entitled to any com pensa
tion when a sale takes place unless said
sale is accompanied With a delivery.
Sec. 6. And be it further ordained by

immediately stowed in the safest powder
magazine under his care, and in case of
neglect in ndt stowing the said powder,

Sec. i. Be it ordained by the Mayor and
Aldermen of the City of Savannah and •
Hamlets thereof, that the City Marshal
shall on the third day of December inst.
Under the superintendence of the-market

until the first Monday in December next,
and upon such terms as are required hy tho
existing ordinances:
Sec. 2. Be it ordained by the authority
