W HEREAS John W. Long ussigne.e of the un
derwriters ut Lloyds in London, in tliu
Kingdom of Great Britain, the supposed insurers
of the Ship Albion und cargo, bus .exhibited his
libel or domplnint, in the District Court of the U-
nited States, for the District of Georgia; stating,
alleging and propounding, that the British Ship
Albion, laden with Mahogany, Logwood, and di
vers other articles, way, on (In; morning of the. 15th
September lust, - by the force of tire wind nnd
waves dris'eu on the beach of Saint 'Catherines
Island, in the District aforesaid, und there aban
doned hy bnrerew ; nnd that much of .the cargo
has Honied out of the said Ship, some part of which
lias been tuken by Cjeorge II. Johnston, Patrick
Houston and George M. IValdburg, and by divers
other persons, to a place of greater safety, iind
that part tiieref still lies on the bench of said
island, below high water mark exposed to the sea
That the Agent ol the,underwriters at Lloyds, un
der the impression tlint the slid Ship nnd enrgo
were insured at Lloyds, has forthc benefit of all
concerned, sold tire interest of the said uoderwri-
ters aforesaid# tfieraln’nt publlck sale to John \V.
Long. But the said persons, who have removed
a part of the curgo to a place of greater safety,
rlaini to be entitled to salvage thereon, nnd pray
ing process of this court to-(ike the said wrack
and thc r said cargo, or so much thereof, ns is to he
found Within the jurisdiction of this Court; into
(lio custody of (lie Court for the benefit of the said
libellant, und. all persons concerned, mul praying
a monition against the said Cieorge, Patrick, and
George, and all other persons, claiming to be en
titled lo salvage to appear und establish such their
claims nnd also to all persons interested to appear,
and shew cause why the said wreck and her car
f o shall not be qiljudgcd to the said John \V.
iong, assignee, ns aforesaid, of the underwriters
at Lloyds, ond for further proceedings.' Now
therefore, you the said Marshal, are hereby com
manded to nttucli, seize, take, and safely keep the
romnins of the said Ship Albion and her cargo,
wheresoever within the jurisdiction of this Court,
or in the possession of whomsoever to lie found,
to answer the said libel, and you nrc further com
manded to cite and admonish the said George,
Patrick, and George, und all other persons, claim
ing to be entitled to (salvage in this behalf to ap
pear before this Court, mid there establish such
their claim nud further to cite and admonish all
and every person and persons, whomsoever Imv
ing or pretending to have any right, title, interest,
property, claim or demund in, or to the said wreck-
orto the cargo thereof, to he, apdappearat a spe
cial Court of Admiralty, to he held ut Savannah,
on tlie Tjvclfth day ot November next, to answer
the libellant in the premises that right mid justice
