and about 75 acres of open land, iu a nice
state of cultivation. This plucn contains
six hundred and soven acres of land, and
owns the pine timber on six hundred acres
more. The shoal is said by good judges
to be equal to any. shoal in tho Union for
any kind of nutchincrV requiring water
power. By nature this shoal is'io eonstrud-
ted, as to be free front ail incnnvenioncc oi
danger from the highest freshets, and al
ways has a sufficiency of water.
Also, 1200 acres of land, 18 miles from
Athens, nnd 10 miles from Monroe, Walton
county, on the Appnlatohio river, with a-
bout 200 acres of open land ; part of tho
wood land is of a superior quality. The
place Is well watered with branches and
fine springs; has on It a gin which is car
ried by water, nnd is supposed to be as
healthy as any pattnf tho Slate; part of
this is fine red land for wheat.
Also, 250 anres of land, directly on tho
road front Covington to Madison', 4 miles
tram Covington. 'Tips is a beautiful le
vel picco of land, a handsome plncc to live,
within two miles of the fine nourishing \-
endemy of Jefferson, in n good neighbor
hood : there nre about 40 acres of open
land, and in a fine state of cultivation.
Also, n beautiful front lot on the squnre
Covington, with Iwo Imiiscs, where
(McNeil Si Batts, merchants, do business,
