P. S. I am proud to say that the Hum-
burg merchants have supplied llicipaelvos
this season, with more goods ot all kinds
than at any former period, particularly
yuch as salt, Iron, sugar, coffee, bagging,
dry-goods, Sic. Several new stoics have
already opened, and others will open very
shortly Tito usual spirited disposition
prevails to give as heretofore, at least as
much, if not more, for cotton, than in any
other city nr town in Ihe.up-cuuntry.
As for money, none will be countenan
ced uni ss it is founded on a solid basis;
and should other be taken in the market,
or should any monied institution in which
lie ntnrkct and country are interested, go
beyond what might be considered just and
prudent, immediate notice of it will he gi
ven, without fear or favor.
Under all these favorable circumstances
I am induced to hope that the community
and country generally, will find it to their
interest to favor us with their custom.
