intended to be a public wntehome, in
Hamburg, fur tho storage of cotton nnd
vIoImcco.—A tobm co inspection to be kopt
therein. This warehouse, for convenience
and safety from fire, if not superior, is in
ferior to nono in tips paft ol the country*-—
It is 300 feet in length and 50 feet in width,
with a plank fioor—situated in tho centre
of the town, on the hank of tho Savannah
River, nnd within 100 foot ol tho stream.
The other three sides, are hounded Uv
street*, one of 180 fed,one of 100 feet,and
one of 80 eel. Two platforms will ox-
tend from the warehouse to tho river; so
that cotton will he put on hnats without
touching the ground, except w hen the riv
er is very low.
