On the first Tuesday in August
the sheriff will sell about thirty
five lots of lai.d in this county.
And those who have any surplus
money on hand could’ not better in¬
vest than to put it in these lands.
Because the mineral interests in
our mountains will yet prove to be
valuable, and these lands lie right
along the mineral belt and will
doubtless go very low.
The work ou the new court house
is progressing splendidly. Cement
has been.used in the whole foun¬
dation and will be u.-ed in exterior
walls for two feet above the sur
face making the foundation the
most firm and solid one possible.
On last Wednesday the board of
commissioners decided to. have
iron cornish put on tile building
which will make it a fire proof
structure. The commissioners, con¬
tractor and workmen seem to be
doing all they can to ’put up a first
class building.
