Our renders will please no* tice the card in this issue di¬ recting attention to the North Georgia and Alabama Exposi¬ tion that is to be held iu Rome Georgia, from October 1 st to the 6th. This exposition promises to excel] anything of Anything of the kind ever held in North Ga arid is based on principles that will give birth tomo.e jiant and permanent •improvements to the progress¬ ive Cherokee belt of country, than anything yet sprung with in her bounds. The grand Mo gul that propels the machinery of this great fair will be una¬ ble to operate the various de¬ partments unless the several counties perform their functions in getting up the proper exhib¬ its and have them pr.iperly adjusted and arranged in the exposition giounds, The Directors of this exposi¬ tion request and urge that Mur ray county furnish an exhibit of her many valuable products and mineral. We are reques¬ ted to announce a mass meeting at the Court House on the fiist Tuesday in August for the pur¬ pose of taking some action in this matter. Mr A J Little, who has been in Murray tifis week in the in¬ terest of the exposition, prom¬ ises to have an able speaker here to address the people on that day, to give them a plan by which exhibits can be pre¬ pared with but little cost.
