COMMUNICATED.
Decora, Ga.. May 1, 18S9
Editors: The waters have
again heed troubled by the
bursting of a cap at Sumach.
Ifl,., W—’s communication
was very well headed tor in
deed lie did dodge the
issue aud came forth with
appology. lie refused to dis
CUSS the ability of college.b:ed
teachers, and the inability of
a teacher, who has not even
rubbed his back against the
walls of a c liege building.
I do not centure the gentle
man for refusing to discuss this
point for he is acquainted with
orly the latter class of teach
ers, therefore he co"ld bring
lip no argument against, a col¬
lege-bred teacher, and none for
the uncolleged-pollished.
He, iu refusing to answer
this point, admits that our fac¬
ulty is not to be equaled by
the faculty of any school witb
yg his knowledge: therefore be
admits that Ibis is the beet
school to be found this side ot
the regularly recognised colleg
es.
In my first co.-rmuniefftion I did
express my regibts that Mm -rft y
was without a good school, I still
regret this tad truth, and wish
that she c uld boast of one school
of high grade. To havo a school
of high grade, a school which would
be a blessing to the people; it is
necessary first, that we plooe at
ihe head of our schools college
bred men.
I hope Mr. W. will profit by this
correspondence, and learn never to
attempt suci a task as he did,
without befog backed by a firm
foundation. Dannis.
