On lhe premises of C C Hallman has been discovered a quarry of very fine black marble, Mr. Hall¬ man sent a sample of the rock to the Chattanooga Marble woiks and had it polished, and it proved to be very fine. This quarry is only two and a half miles from Spring Place and nine miles from D.lton. »Ve presume that Mr. Hallman will at once begin negotiating to have this quarry opened It this mar¬ ble proves to bo in paying quanti¬ ties it will open up a valuable en¬ terprise in Murray.
