C. N. KING 8. B CARTER North Georgia Times KING & CARTER Publishers,. The Official Paper ol the County, PUBLISHED EVERY THURSDAY, and entered in the Post Office at Spring Place 9a., as second dais matter. TIIUBStoAY APRIL S3, IS9I. valedictory. With this issue my connection with the Times, which has been pleasant, is closed, and before bid¬ ding adien 1 feel it my pleasant duly to extend my unlimited thanks • to thpss who have so liberally pa¬ tronized the paper duriog my con¬ genial association with Mr. Carter as my co-partner. I would be un¬ grateful m the uttermost did I not thank you. For four years you have given us your cordial support and not a jar or wave of unpleas¬ antness has ruptured our business, social, religious or political asso¬ ciations, We have endeavored to wound no one’s feelings, going straight-forward, doing what we thought to be our duty. Wo now bow out, and introduce to you our successor, Mr. Jno. C, Heattsell, son of our worthy and useful citi zeD Esq. W. D. Hoartsell, who has purchased one half interest in the iiMEs plant with all the appurlo Ranees including our interest in Ftc. H books, accounts, subscriptions Wo find it impossible to give tho paper proper attention and practice our chosen profession, that of Law, hence, the expression “evorv man to his talent”, and Mr. Hoartsell is the right man in the right place. He is endowed with faculties lor tbo business. Being formerly connected with the Tex¬ as Lasso his experience wdth that paper speaks volumes for him, his artioles sparkled in beauty, were splendid in composition and car¬ ried with them a weight of thought. The readers of tho Times should be proud of the new firm, Garter & Heart sell. They are young men of stern business qualities and will turn their entire attention to the paper. As a result the people of North Georgia may expect to read a paper second to none in this up country. Respectfully Yours, 0. N.
