eighteenth day of December, eighteen hundred ami forty,

to redeem their liabilities in SRECIE, and to provide for the
forfeiture of the charter or charters of such :w may refuse:”
it is made the duty of Ilis Excellency 'he Governor on the
Fret .hay of January, eighteen hundred and forty-one, to issue
his Proclamation, requiring* that the several Banks of this
fTatc. their Branches or Agencies, which have heretofore
failed toiedeern their liabilities in GOLD and FJLYEIl, and
all other Banks in this State, shall on or before the first dav of
FEBRUARY, EIGHTEEN HUNDRED and FORTY-
ONE, pay to auv person or persons, (Banks and Htokersex-
