In Memory of My Loving Hutband On April 7, W. P. McFarland was killed near Jasper. He was 33 years old. He joined the Baptist church when he was 17 years old, and 1 feel assured that he is resting with Jesus today. He was in perfert health as far as I know, except rheumatism, and that was why he was away from home. I can truth fully say, that he did not follow hauling whiskey as it is reported, and I don’t believe he intende I to do so, for he said he didn’t believe it was right, and it was for medicine that he went, and I can’t see why he was taken, as he was a kind, loving husband and father. Always good to his family. It doesn’t seem like 1 can do without him, I miss him so much. Oh, how sad it is to know that I can never be with him here any more, hut it is a joy to realize that I live right thnt I will meet him in Heaven. Not long before he died he told me he had a home in Heaven when he was through with this world, and I feel that he is better off than we are. He has only done what we all have to do. While I can’t see how it could he the Lord’s will for Willie to be taken from us as he was, hut j it will all come right some time. ( j We had been married 11 years J last December, and our home was; nappy, but now T feel almost ruined j left with two little children to battle i through this old troublesome world, J but, I pvay God to elp me raise them | right, and T want to express mv healt felt thanks to our many friends and neighbors for ther kind ness shown during his death.
