FORMAN'S IRON PLOW S^OCK.
fWHIE undersigned having ,
* purchased the patent right C^^fejff*****^
lur PLOW STOCK for the counties of Kicfunona
Columbia, Lincoln, Burke, Jefferson, Washington’
Scriven and Emanuel, are prepared to furnish it to
Planters at the Manufacturer’s price. This stock
which is made entirely of wrought iron, is a South
ern invention ; and has 1 >eu sufficiently tested by
the most practical and successful planters in the
country, as numerous certificates in our possession i
will show, to prove that, when provided with suita
ble shares, it runs more steadily, breaks and pul
verize* the soil more thoroughly, clogs less in rough
land, is more easily adjusted for deep or shallow
plowing, holds the shares more firmly, lasts incom
parably longer, and ri, in the end, far cheaper than
any other stock now in use.
In tiie November number of the Southern Culti
vator, p. Slo, the editor of that work, says: “After I
giving this Plow a fait and impartial trial, we can ,
truly say that we regard it as a most valuable iin- i
provement on all common wooden implements of
the kind now in use. For general efficiency and j
convenience, as well as special adaptation to deep j
tillage or subsoiling, we know of nothing that stir- j
passes it; while on the score of economy and durar i
ndity, it is altogether unrivalled. No Plow with !
which we are acquainted is so well calculated to J
resist the careles- and destructive usage of planta- ;
tion negroes, and we doubt not that its general in- !
troduction would be of very great pecuniary benefit, i
to the planting interests of the South. Such is the !
opinion of the editor of the Cultivator, and such is !
the opinion of all who, like him, have given the i
plow a fair and impartial trial. This stock is j
adapted to .-ix different points or shares, including !
every variety which a planter will need from the 1 *
beginning to the end of the year. These shares j
will be furnished with the stock when desired, i
though any plantation South can make them after
once seeing them. The stock is the only part of |
the plow patented.
Circulars, containing certificates, and a more ;
minute description of the Plow, mav be obtained j
by application.
Rights for counties, shops or plantations, will be i
s.dd on reasonable terms. Apply at the Hardware I
stores in Augusta, or address

4 KMCA LINIMENT, FOR BURNS,
arc.—A supply of this very desirable article,
(winch should be kept in every family') ready for
use, may he obtained at the City Drug Store, where
it is for sale at onlv 50 cents per bottle. Having
been burnt severely myself with Burning Fluid, 1
tried every remedy proposed bv mv friends, but
found, from experience, they were no'yo. On using
tite Arnica Liniment, as per directions, it afforded
immediate relief. I therefore can speak from ex
perience. ibis invaluable oleaginous I,inament
acts like magic, in removing the most, acute pain,
by Burns, and seldom requires more than two or
tnree applications to relieve and cure those of a
severe character, either from Burning Fluid, Cain
phnie, Powder or Fire. This article is prepared
only by myself, and having tried its efficiencv, be
lieve it is the best remedy that can he used, when
ever the case requires. For sale by

GREEN-WAY INSTITUTE.
CLASSICAL AND ENGLISH SCHOOL—MALE
AND FEMALE,
At Thom non, Gtortjia.
TIHE undersigned having permanently located
us Teachers, respectfully solicit the patronage
of their friends and the public generally. From
several years’ experience in teaching, and a con
stant attention to the duties of their profession,
they flatter themselves that the system of instruc
tion which they are now prepared to give Students
pursuing a regular classical course, cannot be sur
passed by any similar Institution in the State. To
parents, therefore, designing to give their sons a
Collegiate education, their services are especially
tendered, since a thorough acquaintance with the
preparatory studies is indispensable to the Stu
dent’s progress throughout his whole course. Their
Academy Pupils will be prepared to enter the high
er classes of College, or if preferred, thoroughly
instructed in a more practical and business course.
The accessibility, health and quietness of their
location—its freedom front scenes and causes of
dissipation—induce them to hope for a continuance
of that liberal patronage, which for many years
they have not failed to secure.
A strict regard will be paid to moral training,
and the general deportment of each pupil carefully
observed.
The Academies for the Male and Female pupils
are separate—also, their Boarding Houses, while
the government, discipline, course of studies, Ac,,
of both departments, will be under the control aud
