PURIFY YOUR BLOOD!

Hurley’s Sarsaparilla.
o
Os all the medicines that have been discovered dur
ing the present age for the “ thousand ills that flesh is
heir to,” none equal this wonderfu preparation. Only
ten years have elapsed since the discoverer (who spent
a decade in studying experiments, and prelecting it)
first introduced it to the public, and it is already re
cognized by the most eminent physicians in all parts
of the country, to be the most surprising and effective
remedy for certain diseases of which they have any
knowledge.
All other Compounds or Syrups of this root have
hitherto failed to command the sanction of the Facul
ty, because on being tested, they have been found to
contain noxious ingredients, which neutralize the good
effects of the Sarsaparilla, and oftentimes injure the
health of the patient. It is not so with HURLEY’S
preparation.
This is the pure and genuine extract of the root, and
and will, on trial, be found, to effect a certain and per
fect cure of the following complaints and diseases:
Affections of the Bones, Habitual Costiveness
Debility, Diseases of the Kidneys, Dyspep
sia, Erysepilas, Female Irregulari
ities, Fistula, all Skin Diseases,
Liver Complaint, Indiges
tion, Piles, Pulmonary
Diseases. Syphilis,
Scrofula or
King's
Evil.
HURLEY’S AGUE TONIC.
o
PERFECTLY RELIABLE.
The only remedy for Chills and Fever or A g le and
Fever that is or can be depended upon is Hurley’s
Ague Tonic. There have been thousands cured by
using it who had tried the usual remedies without
benefit; but in no case haS
Hurley’s Ague Tonic
failed to effect a cure. All who have used it
cheerfully tell their afflicted friends ol it, as a sure and
certain cure for ehills and fever. Any one suffering
from the chills would consult their own interest by
sending to a drug store and buying a bottle. It is
pleasant to take, compared with others, and will be
certain to cure all cases of fever and ague or ehills and
fever. Send for it to the proprietors,

ENGINEER AND MILLWRIGHT has qualified
the subscriber for surveying Mill Sites, furnishing
plans and specifications for Dams, Mills, Factories and
all Labor-saving Machinery. Will also furnish TUR
BINE WATER WHEELS, BTEAM ENGINES,
WIND ENGINES, and machinery generally.
Turbine Water Wheels, for low- heads, capable of
doing the sawing, grinding, threshing, ginning and all
other work for tbe largest plantation, where four feet
head and fall can be obtained, with a good supply of
water.
How many men owning good Water Powers have
been disappointed, disgusted and almost inclined to
believe their power worthless, for the want of a well
constructed Wheel, adapted to the power and general
wants of the owner, in place of some trifling tub
wheel, only capable of grinding one or two bushels of
grain per hour.
Wind Engines of great power, that are entirely un
der the control of the operator, and capable of doing
all the work for a large plantation. Persons living on
elevated positions would find tins machine to be ol
great value.
Eighteen of my PATENT WHEELS have teen in
successful operation in this city. Five Wheels, equal
to 90 horse power, are used in Capt. T. P. Btovall’s
model Flour Mill, of which I was the author.

A PERFECTED MANURE.
o
THE
PATAPSCO GUANO COMPANY’S
Ammobiated Soluble Phosphate.
' 1 1 HIS invaluable FERTILIZER and MANURE
combined is now offered to the public, after three
years’ use has demonstrated its unrivalled excellence.
It has been the study of the most eminent chemists
in tins country and in Europe to so combine the
stimulating properties of Ammonia with the more
enduring qualities of other mineral substances so ne
cessary for the growth and perfection of the plant
and its products, that the soil should not be exnausted
of its fertility by the use of stimulants alone, as is the
case when those so-called manures are used which
contain Ammonia in excess of the useful development
°*Our Superintendent and Managing Chemist, G. A.
Likbig Ph. D., from his long study and experience,
and availing himself of the facilities furnished him by
European Chemists and Manufacturers during his
late visit to the Continent, prepares a manure that
combines all the improvements which the Bcientific
Talent of the World has teen able tornake in the
combining and manufacturing of special manures.
We fearlessly challenge comparison with the best
brands in the market, either in the Field or Labora
f°Every ton which leaves our works is prepared un
der the personal supervision of Dr. Liebig, whose
well-known character as a man and chemist is suffi
cient guaranty of its integrity.
We have also secured the services of Hon. T. C.
Peters, late President of the New York State Agri
cultural Society, and recently Agent of the Bureau of
Agriculture, as our General Traveling Agent at the
South, and to personally represent us among the
planters and dealers.
Our pamphlet, just published, containing essays by
practical agriculturists, sent free to any address, on
