RUFUS B. BULLOCK, By the Governor: Governor. B. B. DeGraffbnried, Secretary Executive Department. sep22-3 B ITTK L<S- The human stomach seems to require a tonic stimu lant. From time whereof the memory of man runneth I not to the contrary, tonic bitters have been used. For- j merly men made their own bitter, and few thought of ' eating breakfast without first taking their “ tansy.”— Those were days, however, when prohibitory laws were unknown, and, in consequence, liquors were pure. Deal ers could then afford to be honest, an 1 sell nothing but the unadulterated. Now, however, what with Govern ment tax and court fines, poke-berry juice and alcohol must pass muster for “old rye” and “ pure bourbon.” People have come to fear poisoning more than mala rial diseases, and dropped their “ tansy/’ Right here fs where Hostetter <k Smith, of Pittsburg, have proven benefactors. Years ago they commenced the manufac ture of HOSTETTER’S STOMACH BITTERS, laying it down as a rule that has since been conscientiously fol- | lowed, to use nothing but the purest liquors, manufac- | tured expressly forthem. By strict adherence to this i rule they have won public confidence, and reaped their reward in a largu, profitable and steady business. Their : BITTERS is known all over the country. They are the ; pioneers ofthe business, and have the largest manufacto- 1 ry in the world. Nor has success in their case, as in too ; manv instances, rendered them careless ; their Bitters is as pure and good to-day as was the first distillation. We heartily recommend them as a tonic. Asa specific for Dyspepsia, Billiousne=s, Constipation, Nesvousness, General Debility and Remittant and In ermitteut Fevers its efficacy has never been questioned. There are many worthless imitations ; we earnestly caution the public against them. sepiG-dactoctl jy ERRORS OF YOUTH.—A gentleman who suffered or years from Nervous Debility, Premature Decay, and *ll the effects of youthful indiscretion, will, for the sake of suffering humanity, send free to all who need it, the receipt and directions for making the simple remedy by which he was cured.
