M» : Locbaik—ln the hope of bringing ger.ins out of its obscurity to the view oi the learned and polite who are prepared to look upon the intellectual world through “ The Telescope,” I request yon to place in their view the following lines written by a country Schoolmaster of my acquaintance I think they have much merit aridihat their author is entitled to a degree of consideration in the world which he has nor yet attained If your opinion coinsides with my own, I will occasionally send you some other productions of the same pen,, which the diffi dent and modest author never thought of pre senting to the view of the public.
