with the American Guano on tbit plantation
l herewith furnish you a copy cf my state
ment for publication, if you desire to use it.
Four acre- having l o pounds each of Guano,
produced. Seed Cotton, d,Bh6 po’.nds.
Four acres- having 200 pounds aacb, 7,198
pounds.
One acre, similar quality of land, acd is the
same livid, produced 208 pounds.
This acre had no Guaoc and ne manure on

The yield of th sr nine acr* waa carefully
weighed.
The Guano wn* drilled in the bottom of th*
furrow and covered by a turning shovel ran on
each side About a month after, the ridg* was
opened by a small scooter plow abou 4 inches
wide, so as nut to reach quite down to the Gu
nt:o The teed was then drilled in and cover
ed with a forked plow, made of two scooters,
about ore and a quarter niche* wide each.—
When the seed commenced sprouting, a ucul
